I am against any changes to the Endangered Species Act. Protection of SAR is not 'red tape' and suggesting otherwise shows a complete lack of respect for the species that are at risk of going extinct because of human impacts. Read more

I and many others are strongly against Bill 5. This is disrespectful to both the public and the environment. If this bill passes there will be resistance. Please reconsider and understand that the citizens of Ontario and our wildlife are more important than profits. Thank you.

Stop Bill 5! The threat to the environment, to endangered species and to farm land is inexcusable and dangerous! We need to be protecting our environment for future generations. Environmental protections are in place for a reason and nobody should be able to circumvent them. This must be stopped!!

This is an obvious catering to land developers. This wheel-greasing needs to stop. Leave the policy as it is. Developers are trying to bend long-standing policies so they can destroy beautiful neighborhoods with gaudy, poorly run slum structures. Don't give in.

I do not agree with the gutting of protections for endangered species. I do not think that a registry of persons planning to put at risk endangered species is an appropriate way to manage endangered species. I do not want developers to be able to do as they please unchecked. Read more

I am strongly opposed to Bill 5. We've heard that Canada is not for sale and Ontario is not for sale, but this bill would allow for devastating and irreversible wildlife destruction to proceed, so evidently Doug Ford thinks that our land and environment IS for sale, as long as it is to his buddies. I strongly oppose Bill 5. The proposed changes abandon science, reduce habitat protections to near-zero, and disrespect Indigenous sovereignty. I call for the full withdrawal of this bill and restoration of robust species protection.
