The Endangered species deserve our protection. Piping Plovers, Monarchs. and other species are at risk when over development occurs. The Conservation of Nature is not something we should take lightly. Read more

I find this Bill very disturbing. The Provincial government has no place being the decision maker on species at risk or what qualifies as worth consideration with regard to habitat loss, without input from expert scientific opinions from non-affiliated sources (i.e. conservation authorities). I oppose Bill 5. I believe we need stronger environmental protections, not stripping them away for industry. There should be public oversight of this. I also believe that creating shortcuts for industry will only hurt us, not help us. Preventative action is incredibly important.

I strongly oppose the Bill 5 which would allow “special economic zones” where cabinet would exempt ‘trusted’ proponents and designated areas from laws and regulations including municipal oversight.
