We are a small auto repair shop and all these poorly implemented regulations that the PRO s can find loopholes with and get out of their responsibility falls to us at the front lines. We are the ones collecting and ensuring all this stuff doesn't end up in the landfill.

There should not be a limit on how many tires haulers can pick up and deliver to a processor. Haulers face many challenges when processors limit the amount of tires that can be processed. Haulers only get paid for the tires they deliver.

Here's something Bright? Why doesn't the GOV of ONT, recycle the used tires into asphalt products to repair our POOR highways and CITY road's. Just too many benefits that make common sense? Noise reduction, freeze thaw conditions, traction benefits, lower maintenance (potholes).

What is considered timely? Is it 50+ tires they HAVE to call in? Why not have limitations on needing to call in before they hit 50 tires, before 100, etc
We are excited to see the proposed amendments as per ERO 026-0218 which will make some helpful changes to the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act to support stronger waste diversion.

To whom this may concern. My company has been operating in Ontario entire hauling business for over 20 years in the last year and a half things have been really challenging as we are having a hard time dropping off Tires at the processor.

ITEM 1: This would only further strain the system as it does not change the total tonnage required to be recycled. This would result in haulers putting existing customers on the back burner in order to meet these requirements, resulting in a net-zero impact.

We need something done in regards to scrap tires, and we need it sooner than later. As a small automotive business, I have reached capacity and then some for scrap tire storage. I literally have no room left, and have to turn away scrap tires.

Once again, industry is demanding more time to develop solutions to waste from its products and packaging, like tires, plastics, hazardous materials and more.
