We issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) for 1108 Queen Street, in the Township of Wilmot, Ontario, for the establishment of a replacement subsurface disposal works for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of domestic sewage with a maximum design capacity of 15,000 litres per day.
Permit to Take Water No. P-300-6360606337 was issued to Eden Grove Village Inc. on February 13, 2026. Water will be taken from two wells for communal water supply purposes, located in the community of Gowanstown in the town of North Perth, Ontario.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is transferring jurisdiction over regional roads and associated stormwater infrastructure; and aligning with a locally developed solution, to transfer jurisdiction over waste collection services from Peel Region to Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.
We have amended the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016. These changes enable Ontario’s producer responsibility framework to be more responsive to the needs of business and allow government to assess the effectiveness of any future changes to the framework.
