A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued for the establishment of sewage works, rated at 34,620 litres per day, to service Lefroy Harbour Resorts located at 727 Harbour Street, in the Town of Innisfil.

We issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) for 1108 Queen Street, in the Township of Wilmot, Ontario, for the establishment of a replacement subsurface disposal works for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of domestic sewage with a maximum design capacity of 15,000 litres per day.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-6360606337 was issued to Eden Grove Village Inc. on February 13, 2026. Water will be taken from two wells for communal water supply purposes, located in the community of Gowanstown in the town of North Perth, Ontario.

A decision was made on February 19, 2026 to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Northumberland County Official Plan adopted by By-law 38-2021, subject to nine (9) modifications. Permit to Take Water No. 6781-DMNNPL was issued to Walker Aggregates Inc. on December 29, 2025. Water will be taken from one pond, located in the Town of Hanover, Ontario, for industrial aggregate washing purposes.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is transferring jurisdiction over regional roads and associated stormwater infrastructure; and aligning with a locally developed solution, to transfer jurisdiction over waste collection services from Peel Region to Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.

A decision was made on November 18, 2025 to approve, with modifications, Amendment No. 2 to the Northumberland County Official Plan adopted by By-law 13-2025. The approved amendment updates growth management policies and certain land use designations for the Northumberland County Official Plan.

Permit to Take Water No. 1728-DLNP6Y has been issued to Markdale Golf & Curling Club Inc., for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one pond, located in the community of Markdale in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, Ontario.

We issued an Amended Environmental Compliance Approval (air) with Limited Operational Flexibility to BASF Canada Inc.

A decision was made on October 27, 2025 to approve the City of Kitchener Official Plan Amendment 42, as adopted by By-law 2024-019. Official Plan Amendment 42 proposes to revise policy 15.D.12.41 c) of the City’s Official Plan to permit a warehouse use for the lands municipally known as 485 Huron Road.

A decision was made on October 27, 2025, to approve the City of Kitchener Official Plan Amendment 45, as adopted by By-law 2024-057. The amendment modifies Site-Specific Policy 15.D.12.40 to permit a maximum height of 24 storeys on lands designated 'Mixed Use' at the southwest corner of Huron Road and Strasburg Road.

A decision was made on October 27, 2025, to approve the City of Kitchener Official Plan Amendment 59, as adopted by By- law 2024-212. The Official Plan Amendment 59 proposes to modify the implementation date for Inclusionary Zoning policies within Protected Major Transit Station Areas, changing it from January 1, 2025, to January 1, 2026.
