An amendment to the Niagara Escarpment Plan as been approved to reduce the number of permitted units from eight to five on a draft plan of condominium for the property located in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, County of Grey.

The Niagara Escarpment Commission has amended the Niagara Escarpment Plan to accommodate the land use designation for a parcel of land located in Bruce County.

Approval is granted for industrial stormwater management serving Doug Chalmers Inc., located at 6802 Highway 89 in the Municipality of West Grey. The stormwater management works comprise of two on-site oil/grit separators and will discharge to an existing storm sewer located at the site.

Approval is granted for existing storm sewer serving Speare Seeds Limited site, located at 99 John Street North, in the Town of Minto. The storm sewer outlet via an existing outlet pipe into the existing municipal ditch.

An amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (Air) No. 8264-73QN7D has been granted to Hudson Boats International Inc. This amendment is for the addition of a new priming paint booth and to reflect the current operations at the facility.

We are developing a management approach for the Lake Superior Coast Range and Discontinuous Distribution, which will identify and describe Ontario’s approach for boreal caribou conservation and recovery in this area.

Exploration Permits PR-19-000063 and PR-19-000064 were issued to Canadian Goldminer Corp. for prescribed early exploration activities. The exploration permits are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

Permit PR-19-000087 (019-0034) Issued. The exploration permit is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

An Environmental Compliance Approval for a hauled sewage disposal site has been issued.

We have amended the Renewable Energy Approvals regulation to add eligibility requirements related to electricity demand. The amendments also prohibit a renewable energy approval from being issued for large wind projects if their power purchase agreements were cancelled by the Independent Electricity System Operator.

We decided to amend the Renewable Energy Approvals regulation to add eligibility requirements so that only projects with the appropriate municipal zoning can be issued a renewable energy approval.
