We decided to implement regulations to prescribe conditions to fast-track approval of small pipeline projects estimated to cost between $2 and $10 million, where the OEB is satisfied that the Crown has discharged its Duty to Consult (DTC), where triggered.  

A decision was made to approve a site-specific amendment to remove certain lands in the Town of Oakville from the Parkway Belt West Plan (PBWP) and the associated Minister's Zoning Order (MZO), filed as Ontario Regulation 481/73. 

The PBWP amendment is approved as amendment No. 245 and the MZO amendment is filed as Ontario Regulation 253/25.

We have amended the Pesticides Regulation under the Pesticides Act to reduce complexity and modernize pesticide management in Ontario while ensuring strong protection for human health and the environment.

Big Island Quarries Inc. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a quarry in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. 

Aggregate Resources Act Licence No. 3397 was revoked on July 29, 2020.

The proponent has withdrawn the application to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) No. 6117-69PMKP for Team Reclamation Inc., a paint stripping facility located at 1574 Eagle Street North in the City of Cambridge, Ontario. No approval was issued. 

The Permit to Take Water No. 5815-DCNPRD was issued to C. Villeneuve Construction Co. Ltd. on January 09, 2025, to renew PTTWNo. 0474-9LSH8T for dewatering purposes of the Cargill Quarry. Water will be taken from one sump at two different rates located in the Unorganized Township of Sulman, District of Cochrane, Ontario for 10 years.

Environmental Compliance Approval (Sewage) Granted for the establishment of subsurface disposal works to service a residential cottage located in Conestogo Lake, Ontario.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-23-000176 RT Minerals Corporation for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

Permit to Take Water No. 8063-D3QNM7 was issued to Hornby Glen Realty Inc. on April 4, 2024 to renew Permit to Take Water No. 7810-BP5JSE for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from a tributary of 16 Mile Creek and an irrigation pond in the Town of Halton Hills, Regional Municipality of Halton, Ontario for 3 years.

Fowler Construction Company Ltd. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a quarry in the Township of Ramara.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 7482-C8KLEJ on December 16, 2021 which cancels and replaces Permit to take Water No. 3430-B6PL7E, 0207-B6PPRR, 3178-B6YKBU and 1472-B6YQUN for Enbridge Pipelines Inc., located in United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of December 31, 2031.

We have a new policy to improve how we consider cumulative impacts from multiple air pollution sources. The policy applies to air emissions of benzene and benzo[a]pyrene in the Hamilton/Burlington area and benzene in the Sarnia/Corunna area.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1190741453 for Dunsford Golf & Country Club Inc. for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one pond and two wells, located in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. This new permit expires November 11, 2032.
