Concurrent with the decision to amalgamate licence No. 2129, No. 2130 and No. 2136, approval was granted to amend the consolidated site plan to create a more cohesive operational and rehabilitation plan for amalgamated licence No. 2129.

We are implementing new regulations to ensure technological changes to reduce sulphur dioxide emissions from Ontario petroleum facilities are made in a timely manner. The application made by Fisher Wavy Inc., acting on behalf of Alexander Centre Industries Limited to amend the current site plan in the Municipality of Greater Sudbury has been withdrawn.

Ontario Regulation 161/17 was amended to clarify that floating accommodations cannot be placed or used for outdoor accommodation or camping purposes on public land covered by water. Ontario Regulation 326/94 was also amended to make the same clarification for non-residents camping on public land in northern Ontario.

The ARA Regulation and the Aggregate Resources of Ontario Provincial Standards have been amended to change the way in which aggregates are managed in Ontario.

Approval was granted for a licence amendment to allow OCL Custom Crushing and Quarrying Ltd. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for Licence No. 600421, operating in the City of Greater Sudbury, District of Sudbury.

Approval was granted for a licence amendment to allow Robert Farrish Gravel Pits Ltd. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for Licence No. 4694, operating in the Township of Howick, County of Huron.

Bill 46, the Less Red Tape, Stronger Ontario Act, 2023, received Royal Assent on March 22, 2023. The Animal Health Act, 2009 was amended to expressly enable a temporary response order when necessary and to make several other changes

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Clark Brothers Contracting Ltd. to increase the annual tonnage limit to no more than 250,000 tonnes per year for their pit operating in the Municipality of West Grey, County of Grey.

We are proceeding with changes to Ontario’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reporting program to harmonize with the federal requirements and reduce unnecessary costs and regulatory burden for reporters.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow North York Sand and Gravel Limited, operating in Township of Whitchurch-Stouffville, to change their final rehabilitation plan.

Approval was granted for a licence amendment to allow Vicdom Sand & Gravel (Ontario) Ltd. to change the allowable maximum annual tonnage that can be removed from the site, operating in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Approval was granted to allow Mann Construction Group Ltd. to increase the allowable maximum annual tonnage that can be removed from the site, operating in the Township of Centre Wellington.
