The Ministry is issuing a Minister’s Order to Algoma Ferrous Industries Inc., under subsection 147(1) of the Mining Act, to file a closure plan to rehabilitate mine hazards at the MacLeod Mine site. Schedule 10 of Bill 66, the proposed Restoring Ontario’s Competitiveness Act, 2018, was removed from the Bill following a vote by members of the Standing Committee on General Government.
