Permit to Take Water No. P-300-3241817084 was issued to Mattamy Walmark Development Limited on January 22, 2024. Water will be taken from one pond for construction dewatering purposes for a residential subdivision, located in the City of Markham, Regional Municipality of York, Ontario for two years.

A decision has been made to proceed with establishing a framework for authorizing projects to test or demonstrate carbon storage and other new or innovative activities using certain types of wells and to remove security exemptions and caps for all types of wells going forward if the well is new, converted to another use or deepened.

Permit to Take Water No. 4560-CXCRWT was issued to Invista (Canada) Company on January 19, 2024, to renew Permit No. 3057-9FRPNK. Water will be taken from the St. Lawrence River to serve as cooling water related to manufacturing activities in the Township of Augusta, United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario for 10 years.

Application 60-C-235936 was approved subject to standard conditions on January 19, 2024.  The last date to appeal the decision is February 8, 2024.

An Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) has been granted to Lafarge Canada Inc. Bearbrook Facility located in the City of Ottawa.

The application has been cancelled.
