TSSA has completed an online consultation on the Code Adoption Document (CAD) amendments for Fuel Oil. The CAD was published on October 12th, 2021 and effective Dec. 12th, 2021.

We issued a Minister’s Directive to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) requiring them to implement a 12-year electricity conservation and demand-side management (eDSM) Framework starting January 1, 2025, which includes a budget of up to $10.9 billion for the IESO to deliver a portfolio of electricity energy efficiency (EE) programs.
We are proposing a technical standard for the carbon black sector that would include requirements to reduce sulphur dioxide air emissions from facilities that register to the technical standard. The proposed technical standard would help align the industry with similar environmental practices in other jurisdictions, such as the United States.
