A new Environmental Compliance Approval is granted to Aecon Kiewit Nuclear Partners for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of cooling water for a tunnel boring machine (TBM) and construction water at Darlington Nuclear Power Generation Station.

Approval is granted for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) for stormwater management works serving the Original Cakerie Ltd., located in the City of London, Ontario.

The ministry has issued an amendment to the ECA 5089-BZZP82 to upgrade the sewage systems servicing Camp Kintail located at 85153 Bluewater Highway, in the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, County of Huron, Ontario.

The application made by Hillway Equipment Limited to make a number of operational changes to the current site plan has been approved.

A decision was made on November 4, 2022 to approve, with modifications, the new Niagara Region Official Plan. The approved official plan outlines a comprehensive framework of new and revised policies to guide growth and development to 2051.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-22-000064 to The Claim Group Incorporated for early exploration activities in the townships of Partridge Lake Area and West of Glaister Lake Area.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

Bill 4, The Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018, received Royal Assent on October 31, 2018. This act repeals the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016, and provides for various matters related to the wind down of the cap and trade program.

Amendments were recently made to the Ontario Heritage Act to provide new and modified tools to improve enforcement and compliance. Once in force, new amendments will also allow for exemptions to archaeological requirements where it could potentially advance a provincial priority.

We are reviewing the Permit Guide to ensure it reflects the amendments to Ontario Regulation 63/09, under the Pesticides Act that came into effect in April 2020. A new policy proposal for the revised Guide will be published at a later date. Therefore, a decision has been made not to proceed with this proposal and this posting is considered closed.

This was for a Permit to Take Water for The Grenadier Island Country Club under Permit No. P-300-7264054845 issued for 10 years. Water will be taken from two watercourse intakes for golf course irrigation purposes, located in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, Ontario.

Application 58-C-257936 to create a new 4.2 hectare waterfront lot to be used for resource-based recreational use, was approved by the Ministry, subject to conditions. Related applications 58-C-258049 (ERO 025-0867) and 58-C-258161 (ERO 025-0868) were also approved subject to conditions.
