We issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air) to Flextile Ltd., a manufacturer of adhesive, grouts, and mortars for the construction industry located in the City of Vaughan, Ontario.
We are moving forward with regulatory changes to make it easier for proponents to apply for a permit to take water when a previous permit has been cancelled, revoked, or expired within the past year in limited circumstances. These changes will give applicants more flexibility while maintaining oversight.
The Ministry is proposing to issue a permit to Battery Mineral Resources Ltd to undertake these early exploration activities: Mechanized Drilling and Mechanized Stripping. We finalized the regulation that will make producers responsible for blue box materials under the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016. We also finalized amendments to Regulation 101/94: Recycling and Composting of Municipal Waste to sunset municipal obligations to run blue box systems after transition to full producer responsibility.
