Northern Sun Mining Corp. requested to withdraw their application for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air). The application is considered withdrawn and no approval was issued.
A new regulation under the Planning Act would support the implementation of the new community benefits charge authority and parkland dedication to ensure that municipalities have the tools necessary to fund services that growing communities need while making the costs of building housing more predictable and increasing housing supply.

The Ministry has received an application for a new recovery permit #MR-25-04756, from First Mining Gold (“the Applicant”) for the recovery of gold bearing substances from mine waste materials resulting from historic mining. The proposed permit activities would occur at First Mining Gold’s Cameron Lake site, Rowan Lake Area, District of Kenora.
The government amended the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020 (BTFA) to expand the measures in the Act to all provincial transit projects, allowing projects to be delivered faster to help Ontarians get where they need to go more efficiently.
