We finalized species-specific policies (government response statements) outlining the actions we intend to lead and support to protect and recover five species at risk in Ontario: Blue Ash, Gypsy Cuckoo Bumble Bee, Kentucky Coffee-tree, Massasauga (Carolinian population) and Massasauga (Great Lakes – St. Lawrence population).
The regulation amendment allows for the issuance of occupational authority to existing cottagers in Rondeau Provincial Park to extend their term of occupation beyond 2017.
We are developing a management approach for the Lake Superior Coast Range and Discontinuous Distribution, which will identify and describe Ontario’s approach for boreal caribou conservation and recovery in this area.
