I believe that bait…

I believe that bait management is an important topic but i frequently trap my own minnows on lakes I fish outside of my zone. The challenge I have is that i frequently arrive at my fishing locations and camps well before the local bait shops are open. When at my site, I am frequently in locations where the latest bait shop is over an hour away. Having to stop and go out of my way 2-hrs round trip for bait is an extreme inconvenience. In these cases where bait shops are not open early enough or where bait shops are far away, I trap my own bait.

I suggest that anglers should be able to show proof that they trapped their bait (proof being a bait trap), when questioned by MNRF officers.
