I support the management plan to allow cottages to remain in Rondeau Provincial Park.
It is important to ensure that cottage owners have some security that a longer term lease provides.
Cottagers are committed to the integrity of the park - that is - maintaining their heritage properties to high standards, respecting the limitations imposed by the park authorities, adhering to high environmental standards etc.
Many Cottagers, over the past few years,
carried out major renovations and, among other things, have upgraded septic systems to protect the land and water resources.
If there is a need for higher environmental standards to be imposed, as a cottage owner, I am willing to meet them, so that that all aspects of the environment of the park can be protected.
