I’m very disappointed that…

I’m very disappointed that the cap and trade plan is being cancelled without any proposed alternative plan. It’s fine to dislike the federal government and previous governments’s strategy, but only so long as there is an alternative carbon reduction plan in place, or at least proposed. In light of the most recent publication on the need for us to drastically recude our carbon footprint, we can’t keep stalling! What we’re supposedly going to save now by not being taxed, we’ll end up paying later on in increased insurance rates, municipal taxes (to pay for lost infrastructure), healthcare costs, and A/C electricity bills to cover the increased number of intense storms, flooding, smog days and hot spells.
