Has anyone in this government reviewed the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report? Or any of the volumes of credible science on climate change that are available? Or any reports from the Environmental Defense Fund and many, many other studies that demonstrate that cap and trade policies are effective at reducing carbon emissions, neutral, or in some estimations, even beneficial to the economy? That putting a price on carbon and making polluters pay is not only effective policy but fair to regular people by putting the burden on polluters rather than individual citizens, the average person, the little guy, the "folks" you all love to talk about? And if so, surely you have another plan that has been exhaustively researched and reviewed by climate scientists and economists that's ready to go to replace the exhaustively researched and scientifically reviewed policy that you're proposing to cancel? If the answer is no to any of these questions, then you are either willfully blind or dangerous ideologues putting our future and our planet at risk, and burdening our children with a problem you're too cowardly to solve. Shame on you.
