i don't think a project developer should have to show DEMAND for energy when building a reneweable project. an excess of energy will lead to lower prices for everyone. too much energy, especially if it isn't making the environment worse, is not a bad thing.

if they can build a project without subsidies from taxpayers and things like FIT or special exemptions or tax breaks or new infrastructure required to be built by taxpayers or whatever, they should get the right to build. if they want to buy a house or a farm, and knock it down and replace it with solar what's the harm in that? or if they want to buy a warehouse and cover the roof in solar panels and sell the energy to their neighbours, what's wrong with that?

stop getting in the way of business, especially if they want to create energy that is cheap, clean, and green. electricity costs in ontario are high, and if someone wants to add to the supply and lower energy costs, that's respect for taxpayers and making life easier for the people.

your regulation should ban the use of coal of any kind in any capacity for energy generation instead.
