Key Points: TAEH supports the granting of a Ministerial Zoning Order on the terms requested.

• This development will create a significant number of affordable units both for rental and ownership.

• Due to its location on a major transit corridor, and the lowered rate of car ownership by the target demographic groups, concerns regarding traffic congestion are unfounded.

• This type of mixed neighbourhood with 70% affordable and attainable units helps Ontario achieve its new housing construction targets in general, and its affordable and supportive housing metrics in particular.

• Likewise, this project, by housing currently unhoused Ontarians, will decrease homelessness in line with provincial policy goals.
