I urge the Ontario government to not follow in the footsteps of our southern neighbours in disregarding science for political interest.

These proposed changes introduce a scientifically incorrect definition of habitat and further undermine the ultimate purpose of the endangered species act. As an Ontarian, I also find it ridiculous that the government would reserve the right to go against COSSARO and remove species protections against available science. The science means nothing if you reserve the right to blatantly ignore it.

The Ontario government claims to be opposed to Donald Trump, but in this case is producing virtually identical headlines regarding endangered species. You claim to be better - do better.
