No amount of rationalization nor verbiage makes this removal of protection for endangered species acceptable. That construction, development, destruction of habitat can take place when a party simply registers is ludicrous. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this new legislation, which not only dismantles essential protections for endangered wildlife and ecosystems, but also disregards the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities. This bill represents a profound failure of responsible governance. Lire davantage

For most of my adult life I have visited our provincial parks annually on extended back country trips to enjoy Ontario's natural beauty. The environmental diversity of our province is one of our most valuable resources, and their value goes hand in hand with environmental protections. Lire davantage

Rolling back protections for species at risk is a disgusting move. All for the sake of development. This is not the answer to the housing crises. We should be protecting our green areas not paving over them. I don’t agree with this bill and I do not want it passed.

So if I understand this correctly. After reading section II, y"all want to eliminate public consultation so corporations that want to profit off of Ontario's resources which If I'm not mistaken belongs to the citizens of Ontario. Lire davantage

Is this Bill intended to make it even easier for Doug Ford (et al) to rip out environmentally sensitive and productive wetlands and habitats to make room for his insincere and wealthy friends and their unnecessary spas and businesses?

Steamrolling conservation initiatives and science-backed ecological safeguards that protect endangered species for the sake of development in an already grey city devoid of the nature is not the Canada I grew up to love living in.

ESA if anything should be strengthened. The replacement act puts species at risk further in danger for short-term economic gain. Ontario's natural resources are a huge economic asset and should be better maintained and protected.

Why are we going backwards with the Ford government? We have gone backwards and Ford has gone backwards on so many public promises and protections for his own pockets, and his buddy’s pockets. Why are we stripping our precious environment and ALL that benefit (humans too) for developers and $$$. Lire davantage

To make another attack on our environment is poorly thought out and selfish. There are plenty of Canadians and Canadian businesses that thrive without the need to destroy. The economy doesn’t improve by us damaging everything around us. Our ecosystem functions as a whole with us included. Lire davantage

Please reconsider your decision and revoke Bill 5. We can not end provincial protections for endangered, threatened and special concern species in Ontario. This would be truly devastating for the future of Ontario. Lire davantage

As a proud Ontarian I vehemently disagree with the proposed repeal of the Endangered Species Act. We MUST protect our environment and the animals that live within it. Anything less is damaging not just to the animals but future generations of Canadians.

The proposed bill is an appalling attack on our province’s environments, plants and animals. It is shortsighted and while claiming to benefit the economy for all Ontarians, it will surely only line the pockets of developers. Lire davantage

renewable energy initiatives within Ontario are very important! Do not decrease them! Do not repeal Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, this would hugely impact protection available for endangered, threatened, and species of special concern and their habitats in Ontario Lire davantage

Not only would this be saving the rights of our animals and our beautiful natural economy, this is protecting the rights of our Indigenous population as well. We have the Green Belt but it will be turned into more highways if this does not get passed. Lire davantage
