I oppose Bill 5 and the shortcuts it’s provides. Consultation should remain apart of the process to ensure transparency and clear communications. Cabinet members should not have the option to ignore any and every provincial or municipal law. Not just environmental, endangered species, and farmland protection laws, but also the laws that protect collective bargaining, workplace safety, heritage, employment, and even the laws against speeding and trespassing.
