I do not think this bill should be passed to provide exemption from Part 2 of the Environmental Bill of rights, 1993.
the involvement of the public participation is government decision making is a an important function to the democratic decision making that would ultimately affect the public interest and will. Having the further check and balance of the public opinion to government decisions mitigates the risk of bias opinion and unfair policy.
This also ensures involvement of special parties affect (i.e. indigenous groups) to have a fair and equal say in the policies affecting their involvement and daily lives.
Further, the recent New York times investigation on Therme brings into question on the process and procedures set in regards to Rebuilding Ontario Place Act, 2023 and therefore any additional bills affecting this act in any shape or form should be withheld or abolished until a full assessment of the original Act, deal, company and parties involved are completed in full scrutiny.
