Is this not infringing upon Indigenous rights and the duty to consult?

Is a 30 day commenting period really an acceptable form of consultations for an important topic, such as this? Where are the information sessions, questions and answer periods? Where do indigenous people stand with this? Ultimately, removing environmental protection will further infringe upon using the traditional lands of indigenous people. Are we not in a time of reconciliation?
