Bill 5 will amend this Act…

Bill 5 will amend this Act to remove the requirement for the redevelopment of Ontario Place to be subject to public scrutiny. Proposals will no longer have to be posted on the Environmental Registry.

Earlier this year, plans to dump sewage in the West Channel were withdrawn, after an ERO notice generated thousands of alarmed comments from swimmers. Rather than promising to change the plan, the government will just hide it (and all other plans) from public view.

This should not be allowed. The government needs to be held accountable and not be allowed to destroy the environment.
