- reduced timelines for Métis s.35 communities to consider and provide comment on the impacts of proposed new development projects;
- reduced opportunities for consultation on major projects;
- the negative impacts projects may have on Aboriginal rights and interests in the absence of robust environmental regulations and mitigation measures;
- the limited information provided re: how Canada and Ontario will collaborate on the national mineral supply chain;
- the limited information provided re: how the Duty to Consult will be fulfilled on important projects; and
- various other issues including concerns related to proposed amendments to other Acts.
