I am against Bill 5, which includes enacting the Special Economic Zones Act,2025.

I fear that the scope is too broad for the Government to designate special areas critical on Ontario’s economy and security.

When the Government can act at its’ discretion, we are left to question its’ integrity.

I fear that any industry could be deemed critical at any point, leaving communities helpless to developers of highly polluting industries. Overriding municipalities and counties lacks respect, and threatens the trust of constituents in their Government.

Faster is not always better.
