My comment is regarding the revisions to the Building Code Act which would in turn eliminate 'Green Standards' enacted at the municipal level. Particularly at a time when we are building a lot of new construction, it is incredibly important to ensure that construction is carried out in a responsible and sustainable manner. To eliminate 'Green Standards' at the municipal level without enacting similar laws at the provincial level is irresponsible and will leave us with a poor building stock and unable to reach our energy targets down the road. Please remove this portion of Bill 17.
