Town of Arnprior would be interested in supporting the proposed changes to maintain collection for small businesses. We agree that because residential blue box trucks travel similar routes, it just doesn't make sense environmentally nor financially to obtain a different contractor to come in and service our non-eligible.

We would be open to PROs providing options for municipalities to service non-eligible/small businesses. This could be easier for contractors if organized in agreements with neighboring municipalities who share the same service needs.

As transition will be completed in Jan 2026, hopefully this amendment could be enacted before that time.
