Amending RRCEA to allow the Government to develop a regulation requiring producers to offer pricing to municipalities for providing blue box service to small businesses is essential. It will allow for the continuation of a service that has been provided for many years, eliminate the need for municipalities to provide inefficient collection services to these locations and keep more blue box material out of landfills.

The Act must be amended as quickly as possible to minimize the length of time this long-standing service is disrupted.
