as a retired Conservation Officer i have the most direct experience with this proposal. i have personally seen individuals carrying multiple big game tags--easily duplicated from a computer. i also have personal knowledge of both hunters and myself being unable to contact "the net" from many locations while checking hunters.
in my opinion, this sort of a thing is only so some bureaucrat can claim a reduction in their budget. (penny smart and dollar dumb).
we should go back to the system of tags and licences printed on durable material.

it seems that people who make up this type of regulation have never actually been in that scenario themselves. they probably believe that all people will obey whatever regulations are made up, in which case we don't need any type of enforcement -we can get rid of all OPP, border agents, and yes even Conservation Officers, as everyone is honest and will obey any and all regulations, no matter why they are enacted.
please go back to the old system, and while you are at it - how about printing the number of annual hunting-fishing regulation books that we used to, i have also often run into situations where a sportsman encounters situations while in the environment and wants to check the regs. to see what is the appropriate thing to do. they were unable to get a copy of the regulations as the licence issuer
was out of the few copies that he had, and he was not within cell phone range (if he even had one!).
