The town of 25,000 residents cannot afford to manage acres of beach… the province has done a lousy job in recent years and the cost to upgrade the necessary infrastructure would cripple the town:
This greedy and out of touch council do NOT speak for the townsfolk and should not be allowed to negotiate a deal to buy crown land that we don’t need.
This is wrong
This is unecessary
This is unaffordable for the town!
The beach should be preserved for future generations not sold off to a council who will simply give away parts to their friends for development that no one wants. Like they have done at The beachfront in the last twelve months.
