Current EV owner but would like to see the cap relaxed on vehicles over $75,000. One of the largest draw backs is the lack of infrastructure. I'm aware of the commitment by the Provincial government to add further public charging stations but it needs to occur and the public needs th educational component to go along with it.
I would like to see a commitment from mass transit such as City buses to adopt EV transportation. Give some Municipalities incentives to change there infrastructure, charging stations at work. Let's see the adoption of EV by Municipal and Provincial police. Yes, it might be costly right now but they can start planning for the future if Government incentives are available. Cost of changing the fleet would be significant, charging and mechanical infrastructure or potential battery replacement programs but if these organizations change then the public becomes more aware of their efficiencies and less dependant on ICE vehicles and fossil fuel.
Free charging at night for residences with EV's. Ensure that the carbon tax is maintained.
There needs to be a lot more education in place for the general populous. A 1% adoption of EV is way too low and needs to increase exponentially if we want to change our reliance on fossil fuels and bring about a change in sustainable transportation and sustainable energy solutions. Bring about a ZEV credit program like Quebec has just implemented to encourage other auto manufacturers to increase the production of electric vehicles. This program has been implementation in many parts of the States.
