Prior to the new development…

Prior to the new development plans, the Jamesville complex was home to nearly 100 families. While sound, smell, and noise pollutions are very real issues living close to a rail system, they are manageable inconveniences many would trade for a safe and affordable roof over their heads.

This project will help alleviate Hamilton’s homelessness crisis, help protect children from abusive households, and allow individuals the opportunity to heal, grow, and develop. This housing development will change and save lives.

As a survivor of family violence and recipient of social housing myself; having rebuilt my life, providing safety and security for my child, having the ability to go back to school, to build a career, and now working with the very population I came from, all because of affordable housing accessibility, I urge you to push this project through.

Affordable housing access saved my life, and gave my child the opportunity to thrive in a healthy and stable environment.

Surely CN rail does not have an equally valuable rebuttal for that.

Please help us continue to help our community the same way it helped me.
