As a Hamilton resident, I’m writing to say how important it is that the Jamesville redevelopment moves forward without more delays. We all know the housing crisis has led to families waiting years for a place to live, and the situation is only getting worse.

Jamesville is a perfect site for this kind of project. It’s close to buses, services, schools, and parks. It’s the kind of location where people can actually do well. The plan makes sense, a mix of affordable and market units, with green space and walkable streets. This is exactly what the North End community needs.

CN saying they are trying to protect residents doesn’t make sense. Jamesville already is the middle of a residential area!

Hamilton has been talking about building more housing for years. Every month of delay is another month people don’t have a roof over their heads.

The delay is unacceptable. I urge the Minister to give the MZO so that we can finally get this built into housing that we need! Thank you.
