As a climber and nature…

As a climber and nature lover, I support this amendment. Access to climbing in Devil's Glen has been contentious and it's exciting to see these types of initiatives support better access to the outdoors and what this beautiful province has to offer.

Climbing in Ontario Parks is an absolute gift and I feel grateful to the climbers who have been advocating for and taking care of these outdoor spaces - organizing clean ups, picking up garbage, ensuring paths are clear and safe for use. Climbers inherently want to protect these spaces to allow enjoyment for years to come.

Climbing has meant so much to me and has helped me meet lifelong friends, achieve goals, and build confidence and strength. Seeing rock climbing officially permitted at Devil's Glen would bring access to a community of people like me who love being outside and love climbing.
