Regarding Bill 60 on behalf of the Town of Caledon we would like to submit the following comments to Schedule 16 Water Waste Public Corporation Act:
In general, more detail is requested to fully assess the impact of transferring from Region of Peel's provision of Water Waste service to a Water Waste Public Corporation. However, at a minimum an additional duty (p34) that needs to be considered is reporting to Corporation's Board, participating municipalities and the Province any breaches in water quality that have the potential to impact the public's health and the result of the corresponding remediation.
We also request equitable representation for participating municipalities on the Corporation's Board.
