As a lifelong resident of Ontario, having been a renter in the 70s through to my first home purchase in 1988, and now as a landlord, I am APPALLED at the movement to effectively end rent control and allow for mass evictions of tenants to take place. Lire davantage

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the changes proposed by the Doug Ford Government that would eliminate rent control and security of tenure for tenants across Ontario. These would be the most radical and harmful changes to tenant protections we’ve ever seen. Lire davantage

This is a bill with many problems, most of which affect my daily life. I am a tenant and I bike for work and general commute around the city of Toronto. This bill alters my future planning and makes my life unsafe. Lire davantage

It's just sad to see that we are numbers instead of humans to these cooperation who thinks they are making rules to make things better for themselves. But they are causing mental health problems for Tennants who feel helpless. Lire davantage

This bill is terrible. What are you doing? This isn't how you fix the housing crisis in Ontario, you're just going to make it worse. And if you think Ontarians won't vote you out if you put this in, you're dreaming. Lire davantage

Delays at the LTB were not a problem in the past, and they don't need to be a problem of the present. Prior to 2020, a landlord who was owed arrears or who had a problematic tenant could get resolution in just weeks. Lire davantage

RE: Tenant Relations: There is no way that Canadians can suffer further by removing our tenant rights! The Ontario Provincial government caused massive unaffordable housing already when they removed rent caps. Lire davantage

This bill will cause so many problems for a province which already has issues of homelessness, poverty, and marginalization. This bill protects and supports wealthy landlords to the detriment of tenants. This needs to be scrapped and not passed. Lire davantage

SCRAP THE ENTIRE BILL! This new proposal is ridiculous, considering the affordable housing crisis we are currently in. This bill will make it even easier for landlords to evict tenants, and compensate them even LESS for evictions on short notice. Lire davantage

Bill 60 will mean fixed term leases, and that means tenants can't stay on a month-to-month basis after that lease ends.

As a life long tenant from Toronto I am very against this pro corporate land lord bill. When I saw the press gallery with 2 heads of the corporate land lord lobby I knew that all this bill was interested in was increasing our homeless population to over 800,000. Please do not pass this bill.

I am strongly opposed to Bill 60. This legislation strips cities of the basic ability to shape their own streets and transportation systems, even when decisions are rooted in evidence and supported by local residents. Lire davantage
