Amalgamation of conservation authorities in Ontario will cause unneccesary red tape, financial burden, and will eliminate the current locally based knowledge and expertise that is critical to managing flood control, outdoor recreation and environmental sustainability. This is yet another thinly veiled attemp by this government to gut environmental protections under the disguise of "progress".
