I have lived in the Haliburton area for over 40 years, and have operated a number of business in the tourism & recreation products. I have currently set up a new business promoting cycling tours throughout Haliburton County.

I see this as an opportunity to advocate for this project to include paved shoulders on highway 118. Paved shoulders would benefit cyclists, and also provide safety benefits for motorists & pedestrian. ( e.g.reduce run-off-the-road collisions, provide safe space to make emergency maneuvers or pull over)

Highway 118 is getting larger number of cyclists usage from Bracebridge to Haliburton to Bancroft. My tour groups are traveling through Muskoka, Haliburton, Hasting County's in Ontario
