I am delighted to learn of the announcement of the Province Wide Cycling Network. We have made a mess of our environment and health and it is good to see positive action towards making our home greener and healthier by promoting cycling routes.

I am avid recreational cyclist who lives in Essex county. I have been cycling here since the early 1980's. I was looking at your proposed route for this county and I have some recommendations.

I would like to add comment regarding the Thunder Bay to the Ontario/ Manitoba border section. The present map shows the route going through Fort Frances on Highway 11 and then on Highway 71 to Kenora.

- I believe it would be good to include the surface type in the mapping as this will help with trip planning.
- Missing cycling route links should also be identified so that these can be targeted for provincial or local funding to complete the routes. -

What a wonderful idea it is to connect the biking trails between cities. I have enjoyed several of these trails and am pleased with the conditions on most of them. I would like to suggest that signage is a bit weak in some of the towns.

However, it is missing some key routes in the south.

I would argue strongly for a much more direct connection between Barrie and Wasaga Beach.

Routes should focus on locations that also permit electronic bikes. This will increase participation and be more inclusive for those who may require assistance when cycling. Locations that prohibit e-cyclists should be reviewed for alternative routes.

Hello, When planning this project, legislation must be passed that forces all roads repaving projects to include a 3 foot wide paved shoulder. Many cycling-car accidents occur because there is not a paved shoulder for the cyclist to travel on. thanks, this is a great initiative
