I am highly against the privatization of our greatest and most necessary for human survival natural resource. This natural resource needs to be accessible at equal rates and equal quality to all residents of our country. The large majority source of this economy are those whom pay taxes on virtually everything and all of those taxes are supposed to be used to support our country. Every bit of income comes from the public, we are the foundation of our economic system. Without the 99% there would be no profit for the 1% to benefit from. In our world there is enough riches for everyone to have a good life. Yet only the 1% live a good life, while the 99% lose their homes, struggle to pay bills or buy groceries and eke out a bare life existence and should not also be subject to having our lives controlled by controlling access and use to the most basic need to live, which is water.
If the government goes ahead and makes municipal water and sanitation systems more amenable to private investment, essentially transforming our basic right to life into tradeable assets for the few to profit off is NOT ONLY a gross exploitation, it is a fraudulent and predatory misuse using coercive control of this government who is not employing their fiduciary responsibility to all Canadians.
Its seems the power and trust given to our government to protect and ensure a good life for all citizens is being abused and subverted for the benefit and wealth of those who have no conscience or care for the future of our world nor the future of our generations who must leave this world better than we found it. Shame on this government for rushing this law through, for not producing a referendum on such an life impacting action for most Canadians who struggle to just live. We have the right to decide on how our government is protecting our human rights.
