I would like this government to know that I, along with most Water and Waste Water bill paying residents, am not interested in paying more to a privatized manager of water resources, acting as an agent of the province, any municipality or the federal government. Water needs to remain a public asset, with no for-profit managers, owners, resellers, etc. Take all wording out of this proposed bill that could open the door for the privatization of our water resources, especially in light of the red carpet being laid down to Artificial Intelligence data centres in this province, with little transparency about how they will be meeting their enormous energy and water needs going forward. No citizen or resident should be adversely affected in their access to water and energy either monetarily, or at all, due to these centres.
