I am opposed to the provincial government revoking any lands from the Parkway Belt West Plan (PBWP). With the federal government announcing they want to double Canada's energy grid capacity over the next 15 years, I find this proposal to be shortsighted and without merit.

The government that put the PBWP in place had enough foresight to know the importance of maintaining a protected corridor for long-term future needs, not short-sighted gains. These lands are still needed as Canada's infrastructural grid is about to expand once again.

In addition to the above and light of previous scandals related to land development for housing, I also think all owners of the lands proposed to be released from the PBWP should be fully investigated for any potential wrong doing prior to advancing this proposal.
