Notice that the route North of Goderich follows Highway 21 and that South of Goderich it deviates to parallel routes even though AADT( Traffic volume measure units provided by MTO) are similar.

Why does the route leave the highway South of Goderich

(4,250 AADT ), where the trail is on the highway?

(4,000 AADT) when the data is the same as that North of Goderich?

Other regions, Bruce Peninsula Hwy 6 (5,750), Prince Edward County Hwy 33(6,450) confirm the North of Goderich situation as the norm in the plan.

If Huron’s Shore, Ontario’s West Coast, is to benefit from an internationally significant cycling network it is important that all the amenities that the shoreline can offer are immediately available to cyclists.

The shoreline South of Goderich should be served with the same quality infrastructure as the rest of the province.

The Ontario Cycling Network should follow Hwy 21 from Goderich to Grand Bend and not deviate as shown in this draft plan.

Thanks for your support in making cycling in Huron the best it can be for cyclists and residents alike!
