Municipalities are already over burden by the implementation of PSAB 3150 and the current asset managment reporting requirements. Adding more legislation and requirements does not benefit the residents of Ontario and will only widen the gap on infrastructure spending as resources will be consumed in creating plans that can never be implemented as we have seen so many times.

Municipalities are the most accountable level of government. Legislation won't change the fact there simple is not enough dollars to cover the gap due to an already over burdening legislation. We need to focus less on legislation and more on reduction of waste and government reporting requirements.
