I am very new to the…

I am very new to the community (Moved here December 15/16)  and what brought me here is the peace and quite. The pristine waters, air and amazing nature that are rare in the city and would be a shame to see gone. I watched Mississuaga grow, Oakville grow and with both wild life was decimated and moved from their natural habitats the air was harder to breathe and you would not drink the water unless it was filtered. I dont want to see that here.  Like many people that are new there are so many question that we need answered and unfortunately some of us newbies dont even know yet about this proposed quarrey and the devistation to the air water and land this will cause.  Unfortunately some of the newbies are not even aware this is going on and are in for a huge surprise.   I am concerned also this seems to be going on and the summer Bancrofter are not even here yet to be heard from.  From what I have been able to find out on my own is meetings  seem not to be well advertised. Apparently there was an information session that I found out about after the fact and when I asked questions about it to someone who did know and attended it seemed to be vendors selling and advertising and not an actual question and answer session.  I understand the site will be next to the Propane station and Im very concerened about the whole town blowing up. I moved to get away from all the trucks etc and that seems to be just what is heading our way.  I would be  interested in knowing what the wellness clinic thinks about all this.   How is my fresh air and water going to be protected, how can we be assured that wild life will not be displaced or decimated. The infrasstructure doesnt seem to be set up to handle large truck traffic so without a major hike in taxes who is going to look after the roads. Who is going to ensure our air is kept clean breathable and water drinkable.  I have yet to see proper a invitation  to an information question and answer meeting. This seems to be going on under the
 noses of us newbies and summer residents.
