The pilot project for hunting black bears in spring should be discontinued. The "healthy" population statistics provided by this government are not consistent and do not include the consistent poaching and illegal hunting happening in Ontario's north. There is not enough enforcement of Ministry regulations and as an Ontario citizen I do not agree with the spring bear hunt and it should be discontinued. The Conservative government will not be supported in this outdated and cruel practice with no legtimiate reason. Black bears are not a threat to citizens and should be left alone.
