This government must rethink any aspect of this plan that weakens protection for Endangered Species. Developed areas like the Golden Horseshoe are already wreaking havoc on endangered species, if anything they need more protection, not less.
Has the government not learned anything during the COVID-19 pandemic about the essential value of natural spaces, protection of enhancement of natural areas? PUBLIC HEALTH DEPENDS ON IT. The last thing we need are new rules that make it easier for quarry operators and other private interests to further damage an environment already under stress.
